THE first-ever ‘Somerset Solidarity Day! organised by Mendip Trades Union Council was held at the Cheese and Grain last month.
Organisers said, “With no less than 28 trade union and campaign stalls and ten discussion groups led by key note speakers, and with a Saturday Night Live! open mic session, there was something for just about everyone who is not happy with the state of the country and the world.”
Organisers hope that Somerset Solidarity Day! may also ‘become an eagerly-awaited annual event.’
