Cousins Luke Nolan and Carl Luke plan to cycle the 900 miles from John O’Groats to Land’s End in support of local charity Positive Action on Cancer (PAC).
Carl and Luke are keen road cyclists and in January they decided 2012 would be the year to take on a big challenge. They set themselves the goal of cycling from John O’Groats to Land’s End in six days, starting their challenge on 1st July. As they both live in Frome, Carl and Luke wanted to support a local charity and so chose PAC.
The challenge is already being sponsored by local businesses Live2Ride, Innertar Body Shop, South West Plumbing and Curtis Engineering Ltd. Carl and Luke are offering other local businesses the opportunity to sponsor the challenge by having their company name on their cycle shirts or sponsoring a leg of the route. For further details about corporate sponsorship contact Sonia Nolan johnogroatstolandsend@hotmail.co.uk.
Kelly Hall, fundraiser at PAC said, “This is such an inspiring challenge. We are delighted that Carl and Luke have chosen to support PAC and we wish them all the best for the trip. “We would like to thank everyone who is making this challenge possible including those local businesses who are sponsoring it. We hope others will sponsor Carl and Luke and support our vital work.”
