FROME Cricket Club is gearing up for the new season.
The club reports, “Frome Cricket Club is based at the Old Showfield, right in the centre of the community.
“Our senior teams are prominent members of the West of England Premier Cricket League and Somerset Cricket Leagues, with the ladies in the Softball League.
“For the social cricketer, we run friendly sides who play on Sunday afternoons and Thursday evenings.
Junior cricket is central to all the work we do in the community – we have over 100 youth members ranging from 7 to 17, and run teams from U11 to U16, as well as dedicated girls’ sessions.
“Our ladies and girls’ squad is one of the fastest growing in the region, with an extensive programme of friendly games and festivals.
“We have a large supporter base for those who just want to watch and enjoy the cricket and enjoy the hospitality. All are welcome.”
Training/net sessions:
Ladies – Monday evenings 6.30pm to 8pm
Seniors – Wednesday evenings 6pm to 8pm
Youth – Friday evenings 6pm to 7.30pm
