AN ex-student of St. John’s School who is now a designer at Bloomsbury children’s books and a freelance illustrator, has donated a garden sculpture to the school of a butterfly lady that she designed for a festival in 2021.
A spokesperson at the school said, “This beautiful Butterfly Lady was kindly donated to St John’s School by ex-student Grace Barnes. Grace is now a designer at Bloomsbury children’s books and a freelance illustrator.
“This is one of several garden sculptures she designed and created for We Out Here Festival in 2021. Mrs Simenton and children on the school council will be deciding whereabouts in the school garden the Butterfly Lady will live so that everyone coming to St John’s will be able to see her.”
