TEN year-old Sophie Gilson rubbed shoulders with the stars last month at the grand final of BBC Radio 2’s 500 Words competition.
Sophie’s story was one of 50 entrants chosen from 123,000 to be read and debated by a panel of authors, led by guest judge, HRH Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, at the final at Shakespeare’s Globe in London. Sophie didn’t win her category but still had a brilliant day.
Sophie said, “The best parts were being in Shakespeare’s Globe and also meeting celebrities such as Nick Jonas, Tom Hiddleston, Warwick Davis and Julie Walters.
“I had a fantastic day and I would definitely enter the competition again.”
