A series of digital confidence sessions are being launched by Frome Medical Practice this month.
The free sessions will start on 18th March and are designed to help people feel more comfortable and in control when using everyday technology. Each session will offer a relaxed, welcoming space to learn, chat and ask questions about a range of digital topics.
Digital Community Connector at the practice Will Palmer said, “We have got a list of topics we want to cover in these sessions, from staying safe online and avoiding scams, learning more about digital wearables such as hearing aids, fitness trackers and smart health devices, and finding out how AI can support your health. We are also keen to hear what other sessions people would find helpful too.”
The first Digital Confidence session takes place on 18th March from 2pm to 3pm, in the Education Room (upstairs) at the practice and will focus on staying safe online and avoiding scams. It will be led by the Avon and Somerset Police Cyber Crime Unit.
Will added, “Anyone living in Frome and surrounding villages, is welcome to come along to these sessions. We are starting with a topic that we know many people are concerned about so please join us if you can.”
There is no need to book a place simply go along to the Education Room (upstairs) at the practice for a 2pm start. Please check the practice website or social media for dates of future sessions.
