A popular town event has received a £1,000 cash boost from a leading regional housebuilder.
Persimmon Homes Wessex has made the donation to Frome Window Wanderland as part of its Community Champions scheme.
The national match-funding initiative seeks to support groups and charities working to improve the quality of life or environment across the region.
Frome Window Wanderland is a free community event which invites people to set up fun window displays to create a walking trail around the town. The event will run from Friday 28th February to Monday 2nd March.
Emma Warren, of the group said, “We are very thankful to Persimmon Homes for this generous donation.
“Now in its third year, the Frome Window Wanderland is a fantastic event which celebrates the local community and transforms our streets into a magical outdoor gallery. The event aims to bring together local people of all ages and backgrounds in a bid to combat social isolation.
“Displays will be lit between 5.30pm and 9.00pm and provides the opportunity for people to explore their local area on foot to see new places or familiar places in a new way.”
