The Cheese and Grain will be filled with electric vehicles and bikes for you to come and take a close look at, on Sunday the 12th of November.
This all-day event, arranged by Frome Town Council and Frome’s Missing Links, provides you with the opportunity to get up close and experience a variety of electric vehicles.
Community projects officer, Cara Naden said, “The range will include those available to try in Frome (such as the E-Car Club’s Renault Zoes and the Frome Town Council electric bike-to-health borrow scheme based at Cycology Bikes), as well as others which are seen on our roads, from the council’s new additional Utility vehicle to the mark 1 Tesla Roadster electric sports car – all under one solar-panelled roof.
“These events promote and encourage more sustainable methods of transport for Frome to reduce pollution and increase health and well-being, as well as supporting Frome’s Missing Links. Donations are welcome.”
Vehicles and bikes will be showcased from inside the venue from 11 am – 3pm. Electric Pedals cycle-cinema will be showing the iconic film Labyrinth starring David Bowie, from 3pm. “Come, hop on a bike and help to pedal power the film! Both events are completely free, we can’t wait to see you there.”
Attendees are encouraged to arrive on foot or cycle (bike parking is available outside) or in their own electric vehicles to share their electric driving experience with others. Free Sunday parking is available outside the venue (public charging will be very limited at the venue but see www.openchargemap.org for charging facilities in the area if absolutely needed).
