DO you want to be part of the next chapter of Frome FM? The local radio station has three new roles for people to get involved with.
Frome FM says, “At our annual general meeting in June we explored ideas around how we can get more people actively involved in the radio, increase accessibility, diversity and inclusion, and to further engage our community here in Frome.
“As part of our plans for the future we are looking for people from the local community to help us with some key roles to help us grow and develop. Each new member of the team will receive full training, get their profile on the website, great work experience and references where requested for future opportunities, as well as a show on the radio (if you want one!)
“The roles we are looking to fill are: fundraising director (volunteer), programme coordinator (volunteer) and social media intern (paid on an initial fixed term). If you are interested in any of these roles, please contact us at hello@frome.fm, we would love to speak with you!”
Frome.FM will also be running a fundraising event for the radio station on Sunday 27th August at Station Approach. This will be hosted in the daytime by Magpies Folk Cafe, a performance by Masa Band and a selection of local DJs till late. Keep an eye on the Frome FM website for tickets coming soon.
