The Cheese and Grain will be hosting a Green Art Exhibition during the whole month of March, and local artists are invited to submit their work.
The exhibition is being organised by East Mendip Green Party and, while the theme is ‘Green’, works with any subject matter are welcome. Artists can, if they wish, donate a share of the sale price of any work sold to the Green Party.
Andrea Dexter, who is coordinating the exhibition, said, “Frome is such a creative place so we’re excited to be providing a space for wonderful local artists to show off their talents and make some sales. We know how much green issues matter to people in Frome too, so we’re happy to be able to showcase artworks on a green theme, while also fundraising for our own campaigning work.”
The exhibition space will be the public areas in the Cheese and Grain, in the cafe, reception and stairwell – the Cheese and Grain is a popular and busy venue and local facility, so this is a great opportunity for local artists to have their work seen by many people. A judging panel will also be awarding a prize for their favourite exhibit.
There are more spaces for smaller works, although there are a few spaces for larger ones.
If you would like to exhibit your work in the Green Art Exhibition, please contact Andrea Dexter at andrea.dexter@btinternet.com or 07917 858432 for an entry form.
