Fair Frome will run its popular ‘pop-up’ shop in the town centre this month to help raise money for its work on local community projects.
The shop will run from Monday 17th October to Saturday 29th October in the Westway Precinct.
The charity will be selling good quality bric-a-brac, electrical items, CDs, DVDs, books, and children’s games and toys. Donations from the public to sell in the shop are welcome.
Chair of trustees, Bob Ashford said, “We are very grateful to the Rotary Club of Frome for enabling Fair Frome to run its great ‘pop-up’ shop in a couple of weeks’ time.
“We urge everyone to come in over the fortnight and find out about our work, bring in donations for us to sell, and meet our friendly volunteers.
“All proceeds will go towards Fair Frome projects that enable us to continue our work to reach out and support local people who would otherwise find it very difficult to manage.
“Our projects include the food bank, which has seen demand double over the past year, as well as our planned new project which will aim at providing free or very low cost furniture to people in need in the Frome area.
“Both these and our other schemes need money to run in addition to the work done by our many volunteers. Please come along, meet the team and pick up some bargains in the process!”
