Fair Frome is encouraging cafes to participate in a great initiative sharing goodwill and compassion; the ‘Suspended Coffee Scheme.’
The scheme has already been successfully in use at Frome Medical Practice and several other cafes are very interested.
A “suspended coffee” is a pre-paid coffee (or other beverage/food) that is purchased at a participating cafe. The way it works is for customers to pay up front for someone in need to have a coffee/snack item. This is then held for someone that needs it for whatever reason. Anyone is entitled to a suspended coffee and no questions will be asked.
Karina, who manages the Black Swan Cafe says, “We are thrilled to be part of this international scheme here at Frome’s art centre. It’s such an easy way to support your community and thanks to Fair Frome for making this happen throughout our friendly town”.
Anyone who runs a cafe in the town and would like to know more or receive a laminated poster and book to record “pay it forward items,” should contact Fair Frome and they will organise a joint promotion for everyone involved.
It’s all about sharing small acts of kindness!
