THE WINNER and runners up of this year’s Carnival Window Competition have been crowned – with an special guest making a surprise appearance – Glastonbury Festival organiser Michael Eavis.
Postscript was the overall winner with Absolutely Fabulous Costume Hire coming runner up. The judges were also impressed with Not Just Pets pirate themed window who came third.
June Barnes, chair of the Carnival Committee said, “We were very impressed with all the windows, it was a difficult decision. It was quite a surprise to see Michael Eavis in Absolutely Fabulous – he was very nice and was happy to have a picture with us.
