TRI.ART Theatre has announced that their summer school production this year will be the wonderful Wizard of Oz, suitable for students aged 8 – 16 years old.
The group says, “Since this classic movie first delighted children and grown-ups back in 1939, L. Frank Baum’s glorious fantasy has been a continual favourite. This fanciful story, with its inspiring lesson about friendship, is one of the most beloved in children’s literature. This one hour show features all of the magical musical numbers sung by the iconic characters and friends.
“The audition will be held in a workshop style on Sunday 12th June from 10am. No prior learning of lines or dance is required. If you are unable to make the audition, we will accept self-tapes. Tri.art’s summer schools are designed to build confidence and skills, encourage creativity and to have a fun week with new and old friends.”
The summer school will run between the 8th and 18th August inclusive, with performances on the 17th and 18th August.
