Frome Town Football Club has donated 136 kg of food to Fair Frome, collected during a recent home game.
The donations were gathered on Saturday 14th February, when Frome Town AFC played a home match against Brixham AFC.
The club ran a donation point from its shop at Badgers Hill Stadium, with fans contributing food for the town’s food bank at the game.
In addition to donating food, the club also supports the food bank by providing football match tickets, ensuring residents who struggle financially can still attend and watch their local team.
Senior Coordinator at Fair Frome, Lenka Grimes, said, “Fair Frome is really pleased Frome Town Football Club and all at Badgers Hill continue to support us with food bank collections at matches. They do this three times a year, collecting long-life food items from our most-needed list and running special collections of advent calendars and Easter eggs.
“It was a real team effort.”
