Would you like to make your home cooler this summer and save money in winter? Until September, households in Frome are entitled to free insulation or a 50-70% discount for cavity wall and loft insulation.
Frome Town Mayor cllr Richard Ackroyd said, “Whether you own your home or rent privately, all households are eligible to apply. Cavity wall insulation can save around £250 a year and loft insulation around £225, so it’s definitely worth exploring.’
Anna Francis, resilience manager at Frome Town Council said, “Free insulation offers don’t come up very often so I’d urge people to take advantage of this funding before it ends in September. Even if your loft is already insulated, a top-up is recommended every 10 years and can make a big difference to energy bills and comfort.’
The offer is being funded by Cero government grants. Evolve, an insulation specialist, is conducting the free surveys and installing the free or discounted insulation.
