A feast of festive music is on offer from a Frome musical group at its annual Christmas concert. The Frome Town Youth Band is playing at the Cheese and Grain on Sunday 13th December at 3pm.
The festive programme features a mixture of Christmas favourites and carols with tickets available at £8 for adults, £6 for concessions and £3 for children.
This year the concert is being led by new musical director, Stephen Sykes, who took up the baton in the summer and who won the title of BBC Radio 2 Young Brass Soloist of the Year in 2009.
As well as the special festive concert the band will also be playing carols around the town in the run up to Christmas to help bring some festive cheer.
Formed in 1997, the band aims to help young people, as well as people of all ages, get involved in learning to play musical instruments and performing a wide range of music.
The band has recently started a beginners’ group and anyone interested in learning to play a brass instrument would be welcome.
