A care home in Frome has been raising donations for the local food bank for Christmas.
Residents and team members at Care UK’s Rossetti House, on Welshmill Lane, encouraged the local community to donate non-perishable food items.
The home set up its very own food bank drop-off point in the reception area, where it gathered dozens of items to be donated to Fair Frome, which runs the food bank.
Home Manager at Rossetti House, Phil Vale, said, “We are always looking for ways to give back and support our community and local charities, which is why we were delighted to partner with Fair Frome.
“In these challenging times, we know many people may be struggling. And with Christmas fast approaching, it’s more important than ever to support food banks that provide a vital lifeline for many members of our community.
“We hope the donations will help struggling families across Frome during the colder months.”
