FROME charities Active & In Touch (A&IT) and Frome Community Drivers have joined forces for the benefit of the community they serve.
They say, “Emerging from what has been a very difficult and often dispiriting year for many, there is some good news for residents of Frome and the surrounding villages. Starting the New Year off in positive style and with effect from Friday 1st January, two well-known local charities and organisations, which already share the common aim of supporting individuals who may be lonely and isolated, are to join forces.
“Thus, Active and In Touch and Frome Community Drivers will become one organisation, with their joint resources continuing to reach out to address and support health and well-being.
“Those in Frome who are already members of Active and In Touch or who access Frome Community Drivers will continue to benefit from the ongoing and valued ethos at the heart of the new partnership as it delivers a strengthened, improved, resilient and cohesive joint service delivery.
“As we move into the New Year we are continuing to seek more volunteers. If you are interested in hearing more about the work carried out within the community and would like to make a difference, please contact us via enquiries@ activeandintouch.org
