Frome Community Trust, which runs the Frome Community Lottery is looking for people to volunteer as Trustees of the organisation.
No special skills are required, except for an interest in Frome and the development of community facilities.
Frome Community Lottery meet about two to three times a year to publicise the Lottery and to distribute its proceeds as grants to local organisations.
If you think you may be interested in becoming a Trustee, please phone Carole Whittard on 01373 301689 to discuss this further.
The lottery raises several thousand pounds annually for local groups. About 13 groups benefited from grants in 2014, and lottery funding really helps these groups.
A recent example was the Merlin Theatre which was able to install a new booking system on a laptop provided by the Lottery. The artistic director, Claudia Pepler, commented that the funding had been extremely useful as the previous booking system was slow and prone to failure.
The Lottery has also provided some of the funding needed for a new lighting gantry at the theatre.
