A FROME woman has climbed Mount Snowdon in memory of her baby nephew – and has raised over £1,000 for the Friends of Frome Hospital.
Willow Harwood climbed to the top of Mount Snowdon, on Saturday 4rd September, in memory of her baby nephew and to thank all the staff at Frome Hospital’s maternity unit who were so supportive to the family during their loss nearly six years ago.
She hopes that with the money raised, the Friends of the hospital will be able to provide something fitting for the birthing unit at the new Frome Community Hospital.
Willow said, “A big hug of thanks to everyone who has supported me in raising well over £1,000 for the Friends of Frome Hospital as part of my climb to the top of Mount Snowdon.
“My family and friends have all been so generous in sponsoring the climb and if any other families in town who have also appreciated the wonderful care provided by all the maternity staff of the hospital and still want to make a donation for the unit that will benefit others in the future, my sponsorship line is still open on: www.justgiving.com/willowharwood”
The Friends of Frome Hospital support Frome Community Hospital by improving the equipment and environment for the benefit of patients, staff and visitors.
