Tickets are now on sale for Frome Festival’s silver anniversary year, taking place between the 3rd to 12th July.
There are 300 events scheduled in 58 venues in and around Frome during the 10-day community arts festival.
Among the headline names are Sir Tony Robinson, Irish folk singer Cara Dillon and Sam Lakeman, comedians Phil Ellis and Timmy Mallett, and actor Nigel Planer.
Frome Festival Director Adam Laughton said, “As Frome Festival celebrates its 25th birthday this year, we’re delighted to see Frome’s remarkable arts scene reflected in events of all shapes and sizes. With 300 events, including 160 that are free and up to £5 per ticket, in 58 venues across the 10-day programme, there really is something for everyone.”
Events include a special anniversary performance of the musical King of Fools at the Merlin Theatre, a large-scale performance of Duke Ellington’s Sacred Concert featuring a big band and local singers and the return of the popular Food Feast.
Other attractions include Frome’s Hidden Gardens, literary events, workshops, art exhibitions, free walks and talks, wellness activities, a dance music night and a children’s Wildlife Parade through the town centre.
