Frome FM will be going live on Friday nights as from Friday 10th October.
The first two weekly shows scheduled are the ‘Tim Addams Show’ which will run from 7.00pm – 8.00pm and ‘Chapter and Verse’ which will run from 8.00pm – 9.00pm.
Tim Addams has been a presenter with Frome FM for over two years and his programme will be the ideal way to start your weekend. There will be great music and a ‘What’s On?’ section geared towards local gigs. You can check out previous Tim Addams shows by going on the Frome FM website.
Also live on Fridays nights will be ‘Chapter and Verse’ a completely new show to Frome FM. Hosted by John Walton, with assistance from members of The Frome Writers Collective the show will be an hour celebrating and enjoying the written word.
The show will have two parts, one will concentrate on prose and the second section on verse. It will feature local writers and poets. There will be interviews and also information on local events.
Each week a story and a selection of poetry will be read and there will be a chance for listeners to become involved. A song will be played and listeners are requested to write a piece about it, be it back story, review or interpretation. The first show on the 10th October will feature the winners of the recent Frome Word Poetry Slam; David Oakwood, Norman Andrews and Glyn Carpenter.
Frome FM will be looking to add more live shows to Friday night so look out for more announcements in the future.
