Once a village pharmacist, Steve Barton, a.k.a. Chemical Steve is a regular contributor to Frome FM and some might remember his DJ sets at the Griffin pub.
Steve is live every Friday from 10 am to 1 pm on 96.6 and www.frome.fm with Chemical Steve’s Musical Mixture.
“For the first two hours I play interesting and often rare tracks from my unique library of vinyl and cds,” he said. “Anything from Argent to Fairport Convention and Focus; from Benny Goodman to Northern Soul to Beatles covers; I also like to include music from local bands and musicians.”
The ‘final hour’ from 12 to 1pm looks at what’s on in and around Frome on the weekend, with the help of the Frome Diary, which is a locally-produced internet guide at fromediary.com.
