ONE of Frome’s favourite events, the Frome Festival Food Feast, returns after a two-year hiatus due to Covid 19 restrictions.
On Saturday 2nd July, 5pm – 10pm, the Market Yard Car Park (beside the Cheese and Grain) will be packed with street food traders, a great choice of bars and great live music!
The event will feature stalls selling delicious burgers, pizza, wraps, African, Thai, Jamaican, Greek and many other styles of cuisine – something to tempt everyone. Also included will be Still Sisters Distillery bringing their gin bar, Worley’s Cider, the Cheese and Grain bar and even drink stalls to take home for later.
There will be entertainment from the always impressive Frome Street Bandits, Frome Rock Choir, SATCO and the Star Wars cosplay group, MK Garrison. On the live music stage will be Frome College student three-piece, Big Dog, playing their mix of bluesy rock, the brilliant Frome-based Abba tribute SOS, guaranteed to get you singing along to the Abba hits and headlining are Jump 66, who play a fiery mix of raucous RnB and swinging Jump Blues to get you dancing into the night!
Organisers say, “The Food Feast has been much missed over the last two years and is back with a fabulous line-up and more food stalls to cope with the anticipated crowd!”
The event is co-ordinated by Tracey Rawlins, who has managed the Feast for the past nine years. She said, “This popular event could not happen with the support of local groups who help behind the scenes, so a big thank you to Frome Street Carnival who marshal, Frome Army Cadets who will be litter picking, St John Ambulance, Radek Evans and all the staff at Cheese and Grain.”
So bring a chair or a blanket, meet up with friends, put on your dancing shoes and enjoy the fabulous atmosphere of the Food Feast.
