Frome is set to host two of its biggest events of the year over the next two Saturdays with Frome Agricultural & Cheese Show on 14th September, followed a week later by the much-anticipated Frome Carnival on the 21st.
First up is the Cheese Show celebrating the very best in food, farming and, of course, cheese.
Held at the West Woodlands Showground, there will be live arena shows, 12 competition sections, stalls and children’s entertainment, along with the world-renowned Global Cheese Awards.
The following Saturday on 21st September, Frome’s streets will come alive with the return of Frome Street Carnival with the children’s procession in the afternoon, followed by the main procession in the evening.
New this year will be a pre-procession warm-up with a majorettes’ display, which will parade through the streets ahead of the main carnival. The Army Cadets band will also be playing in both processions.
“We are really looking forward to a fantastic event this year,” explained one of the organisers, Mandy Morgan.
