THERE were long queues at the weekend as over 700 residents lined up for a pop-up Covid vaccination clinic at the Cheese and Grain.
The walk-in clinic on Sunday 12th December was open for first doses for all age groups over 12; second doses for all ages over 16; and booster jabs for over 40s.
Clinical nurse specialist, Kay Unwin, told Frome Times, “It was an amazing success! We gave 730 vaccinations between 10am to 4pm – which was the equivalent of how many vaccinations were given by the Arsenal team, and they worked 8am to 8pm! We had six vaccination stations – we barely stopped for a drink. We truly surprised ourselves and the feedback that we have seen online has been amazing.”
