At the monthly meeting of Frome Inner Wheel, president Sue Ruddick welcomed Jo Rutherford who is a coach and trustee of Saxon Riding for the Disabled, based in Bradford-on-Avon.
Frome Inner Wheel report, “Jo gave the members a very interesting and informative talk on the wonderful work that they do at the centre. The centre is run by volunteers and they provide therapeutic riding opportunities for adults and children from 5-70 years of age. They have five horses and they currently help 24 adults and 8 children. They provide coaching which includes carriage driving, dressage and proficiency tests. Jo herself won Volunteer of the Year in 2019 which was presented to her by Claire Balding the well known TV presenter.
“After the talk, thanks were given by Ronnie Osborne and president Sue presented Jo with a cheque for the charity of £200.”
