Frome Lions are asking if the public have any unwanted books in good condition they would like to donate.
These books would be sold in aid of the Lions Trust Fund so needy people and causes can be helped in the local area. So if you have books to donate contact the Lions through their website www.fromelions.org.uk or Mike Geake on 01373 461298 or email: mike.geake@fromelions.org.
The organisers said, “Go on, give your old used books a chance to be read again, to give someone else pleasure and help the Lions too.
Frome Lions will be holding the Book Sale in the Westway precinct between Wednesday 5th and Saturday 8th November between 9.30am and 4.30pm. The shop will be situated in the former First Choice Travel Agents shop.
The Frome Lions will be holding their first quiz of the season on Friday 3rd October, 7.30pm for 8.00pm at the Frome Rugby Club.
Test yourselves with 10 rounds of 10 questions on a variety of films, music, sport and general knowledge, plus a picture round of 30 celebrities and famous people to identify.
To reserve a table for four people contact Mike Geake (details above) for £12. All funds will go into the Lions Charitable trust to help needy people and organisations in the local area, including those raised by a raffle.
