Frome Lions have recently made a donation of £500 to Frome Community Education (FCE), a not-for- profit organisation which provides adult leisure classes in Frome that are both affordable and accessible.
Run by volunteers and in partnership with the Cheese & Grain, every year FCE offers courses and workshops in a wide variety of subjects including languages, health & fitness, arts & crafts, music and culture. The classes offer opportunities for friendship, as well as learning, and contribute to reducing social isolation.
This funding will provide a 10-week ESOL course, a much-needed class in English for speakers of other languages, led by tutor Sindy Uttley.
