AFTER months of discussions with Oakfield Academy and SASP, Frome Netball Club are pleased to announce that they have moved back home to Frome and their new training ground is at Oakfield Academy.
Andrea from the club says, “This is absolutely amazing for all the budding netballers in the area as Frome Netball Club can now start to expand the provision they offer to Frome and the surrounding areas.
“In August we are launching three brand new provisions, they are:
“Starting Monday 7th August 7-8pm – Netball Now for 8 consecutive weeks
“Netball Now is a simple, straight forward way to play netball. It’s not a coached session, it’s not a competition led by rules, regulations or scores recorded, it is simply a session that you turn up at, pay a small fee and play a game of netball! If you’re currently playing and want to play a bit more as it beats the gym; or if you’re looking for a flexible, non-committed way to play netball then Netball Now is for you!”
Starting Tuesday 15th August 6-7pm – Walking Netball
“Walking Netball is a slower version of the game; it is netball, but at a walking pace. The game has been designed so that anyone can play it regardless of age or fitness level. From those who have dropped out of the sport they love due to serious injury, to those who believed they had hung up their netball trainers many years ago, it really is for everyone.”
Starting Tuesday 22nd August 7-8pm – Back To Netball
“Back to Netball sessions are running across England and provide women of all ages with a gentle re-introduction to the sport. Run by passionate and enthusiastic coaches, sessions cover the basics of the game including passing, footwork and shooting. Sessions finish with a friendly game to put the skills you have learnt into practice.
