FROME’S Carnival Queen, Laura Evans, has been chosen as the Wessex Carnival Queen for 2013.
Laura’s year as Frome Carnival Queen will come to an end when the new carnival royals are chosen this summer, but she will be kept busy in her new role on the Wessex Carnival circuit.
Laura said, “I am so pleased to be chosen as Wessex’s Queen 2013. I am really looking foward to my year as the Wessex Carnival Queen and participating in all the different carnivals and events on the Wessex circuit. I have thoroughly enjoyed my year as Frome’s Queen, but sadly it’s coming to an end.
“I would like to thank Frome Carnival, especially June Barnes and Sandra Dean, and everyone who was involved for making it such a special year. Please support the carnivals because it is a fun night for the whole family and friends to get together.”
