THE Frome branch of the Royal British Legion (RBL) are asking for people to help volunteer at the upcoming Poppy Appeal.
Frome RBL will be collecting donations from Thursday 27th October until Remembrance Sunday on 13th November.
“Frome has a fantastic reputation of raising more than its fair share, but this can only happen with help from volunteers who give up a small amount of time for a very good cause,” says Frome RBL. “The main supermarkets in town all kindly allow a table to be set up to offer poppy merchandise and we are looking for helpers for this.
“It can be as little as one hour, or more if you feel able to? There are seats available, and we try to get two people at a time, especially new helpers with experienced ones.”
