A RESIDENT at Rossetti House care home in Frome has just celebrated his 102nd birthday.
Tim Ealey turned 102 on Saturday 15th February. He celebrated by having visits from members of his family throughout the day and enjoyed eating a homemade cake.
Tim was in the Navy for 27 years where he worked on many ships and was awarded six medals, including ones for long service, general service, and Italian service.
After his service he became supervisor of transport for the National Health Service.
Rossetti House care home staff said, “Tim loves telling stories, especially ones about being in the Navy. He seems really happy and enjoys life.”
Born in 1912 Tim has been alive for many historic events, including the sinking of the Titanic and two world wars, and he has also seen four monarchs rule England, and 24 Prime Ministers.
