FROME and surrounding areas have been very generous again this year, raising around £30,000 for The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.
With last year’s figure at £30,979.46, this year seems to be just as successful with around £30,000 already counted. There are still donations left to come in and also Gift Aid to be credited at a later date.
Maggie Daniells, Poppy organiser said, “We would like to thank all who helped with the events raising money for The Poppy Appeal and to all the venues who hosted us or our collection tins!”
