Frome RFC was once again privileged to be involved in this year’s Remembrance Parade in Frome, a special ceremony commemorating 100 years since the end of World War I.
The club’s history is closely entwined with that of the military, with many of the club’s former players fighting in conflicts from World War One up to the present day.
There was a large contingent of Frome RFC players and members who joined in the ceremony which saw player Matt Warnock laying a wreath on the club’s behalf. As well as the Remembrance parade in Frome, their mini section also gave their thanks with two minutes’ silence whilst on the road at North Dorset RFC. The junior sections also did the same at Frome RFC’s Gypsy Lane.
