Frome Running Club Juniors came away with two champions at the Somerset County Track and Field championships in Yeovil last month.
Isy led the way in the U16 girls 1500m with an outstanding time of 5:04. Not to be outdone, Clara came in first in the U12 Girls 1200m run with a time 4:45.
Five other Juniors finished either second or third and two runners just missed with a fourth place. 12 Junior runners have taken part in track meets this spring and they have all achieved personal bests (PB) and are looking to take part in more meets over the summer to improve their times.

In addition to the competitions on the track, the Juniors are also taking part in the Wiltshire Junior Race series and the Frome team currently stands second behind the Swindon club after three races.
In the latest race, the Semington Slug 2K, the Frome club came first in the team result, again led by Isy with a first for the girls race and Tom led the way for the boys in fourth with five boys finishing in the top 10 and five girls in the top 12.
Individually, Isy is first in the U16 standings, Sophia is the first U14 girl and Martha is second in the U12 age group. For the boys Tom is the second U14, Theo is the second U12 and Eli is third in the U10 age group. There are five more Wiltshire races into the Fall.
The Frome Juniors have runners of all abilities aged eight to 16 and are trained by an English Athletics Coach.
The Juniors train on Tuesdays and Thursday from 5.15 to 6.15pm. New runners are welcome to come either day or both. The Juniors train all year with breaks that follow the school calendar.
