THE Merlin Theatre will be hosting ‘An Evening with Tom Carpenter’ on Friday 11th September as part of its 40th anniversary celebrations.
This will be Tom’s first performance in his home town following his appearance on BBC One TV’s ‘The Voice’ back in January.
Following ‘The Voice,’ Tom has been approached by both Decca and Sony records with a view to a possible recording contract as well as receiving an offer from a USA-based record label run by the Barry White estate.
The TV appearance has resulted in Tom performing at a number of high profile events this summer including a ‘Help for Heroes’ Festival in Windsor, the ‘Motcombe Street Party’ in Belgravia, an International Conference at the Guoman Tower Hotel in London together with a number of weddings and corporate events.
Tom will be performing with his four piece band, and his set list will include all the Michael Buble and Rat Pack numbers which first brought Tom to fame coupled with a few more modern ‘pop’ songs from the recent charts.
Tom is very excited about his first return to the Frome stage since his TV appearance and is hoping his local fans will turn out in force to support this concert to raise funds for the Merlin Theatre where his father, Andrew Carpenter, is now a board member.
Tickets cost Adult £10.50 & children £5.50 and are available from the Merlin Theatre Box Office on 01373 465949 or by emailing merlintheatreoffice@gmail.com. Tickets are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
