Schools in Frome held special fundraising events last week in aid of Children in Need.
St Louis Catholic Primary School pupils raised nearly £100 by wearing their pyjamas to school. “We had lots of funky pyjamas,” said deputy safeguarding lead Rosie Lihou.
Pupils at St John’s First School also wore their pyjamas and Pudsey costumes to school and brought in spare change to make a Pudsey out of coins in the school library.
The School Council children also organised a Pudsey art competition. They judged the entries themselves and chose five winners, whose prize was their very own non-uniform day.
Pudsey on the Phone was one of the winning entries – made by a boy in Year 1.
BBC Children in Need supports charities, organisations and programmes across the United Kingdom that aim to improve the lives of children and young people.
