AFTER a break of three years, organisers say it is with great pleasure that the Frome Selwood Horticulture Society is holding their Annual Show, this year on Saturday, 27th August, with doors opening to the public at 1pm.
They say, “Once again, Selwood Academy, on Berkley Road in Frome is hosting the event. So, with plenty of room for the display of all that can be produced by members, why not put the date in your diary? Tea and refreshments will be served all afternoon, and there is excellent parking and access.
“Competition amongst members is one of friendly rivalry, so look out for who wins in the large number of classes for flowers, vegetables and pot plants, let alone for harvest baskets and home produce, with even a medal for most meritorious vegetable. And for those more inclined to art, we have a large photographic section and watercolour class.
“The society prides itself in maintaining the tradition of an Annual Show. Names on the cups and trophies bear witness to the history of growing and showing, when more will be added after presentation of prizes by Dennis Barnard at 4pm.
“All welcome. Come and support your local Annual Show!”
