Following their most successful ever exhibition in St John’s Church throughout the Frome Festival, Frome SODA (Society for Disabled Artists) recently celebrated the result of the People’s Choice competition, which had aroused a great deal of interest during the event.
The picture chosen by the public, Coal Tit, by Sue Danby, was presented by chairman Clive Irvine Gizzie to Sheila Gore, whose name was drawn out of a hat by a visitor from Suffolk, to ensure no favouritism!
Sheila has in fact strong links with SODA, not least that her mother Marion was until recently a member of the group and Marion was there to see the presentation.
Sue, the winning artist, a long-standing member of the group, was presented with a voucher to purchase new art materials, generously donated by Garry and Rachel of Postscript in Stony Street.
