The lives of 144 Frome men who served and returned from World War One have been chronicled by Frome Family History Group for a new book to commemorate the 100th anniversary the war.
The group say, “Very few ever talked about their time away and their contributions often went unrecognised. We hope that this book will remember those from Frome who served and survived. Each page is dedicated to one man and outlines his military career, as well as personal details about his family and what he did when he returned.
