Frome Swimming Club held their Annual Presentation Evening recently.
Swimmers and their families gathered to celebrate the club’s successful season, with medals and cups presented to swimmers for the recent club championships.
Special awards were also presented for outstanding performances throughout the year. This year the recipients were:- President’s Cup – Milly Applegate. FDC Law Cup- Lynne Carpenter. Young Volunteer- Holly Singer. Patrick Kaye Memorial Cup- Hannah Dors. Coaches’ Cup- Gareth Everton
Boys’ Progress Cup – Cameron Coward. Girls’ Progress Cup – Bethany Cowing. Boys’ Style Cup – Jonas Fisher. Girls’ Style Cup – Ruby Pole. Masters swimmer and squad favourite, Cherie Crozier, was also named Club President for the coming year.
The Christmas raffle was drawn and special thanks goes to Westway Cinema, Lilley’s Cider, Center Parcs, Williams Butchers, And Automotive, Co-op, Asda and Sainsburys for their kind donations.
The club is run by volunteers and is currently looking for sponsorship. They would especially like to find a local business that would be willing to sponsor the competitive squad team kit who will be swimming at county, regional and national championships this season.
