FROME Times deliverer, Imogen Draper, took part in a charity cycle ride last month, raising over £500 for an animal charity.
Sixteen-year old Imogen cycled 50-miles, repeatedly cycling up and down the cycle path between Great Elm and Radstock, in just under six hours.
The money raised by Imogen will be donated to Bristol DAWG, a charity that rescues and rehomes greyhounds and lurchers that have been raced, neglected and need a forever home.
Imogen told Frome Times, “I found the cycle ride more difficult because the weather was so hot that day, however knowing what I was doing it for pushed me on to complete it.
“I am very pleased with the amount of money raised, £513.50 will do a lot to help the greyhounds. Thank you to everyone that kindly sponsored me.”
