A FROME Times deliverer will cycle 50-miles next month to raise money for an animal charity.
Teenager, Imogen Draper, 16, will clock up the miles by repeatedly cycling up and down the cycle path between Great Elm and Radstock on Sunday 25th August.
Imogen told Frome Times, “I am doing a sponsored cycle ride for Bristol DAWG. They are a charity that rescues and rehomes greyhounds and lurchers that have been raced, neglected and need a forever home.
“I have always been passionate about animals and have chosen to support this charity for greyhounds because they are a particularly mistreated breed. I know the money I raise will help DAWG to travel to rescue dogs and take care of them until they find a forever home.
“I am excited to complete this challenge, I have been training hard all year and hope to raise as much money as I can for the dogs. I have an official sponsor form or there is a Just giving page www.just giving.com/fundraising/ dawgust2019.”
