Frome Town Council is hosting ‘VolunTea in the Park’ again this year; an event put on to thank the many volunteers that give their time in Frome and the surrounding areas.
Kate Hellard, Frome Town Council’s community projects officer said, “Last year we had over 200 guests enjoy sandwiches, scones, cake, and copious amounts of tea, in a marquee in the park. We hope this year will be just as successful.
“Our event ‘VolunTea in the Park’ coincides with National Volunteer Week, an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK, taking place from the 1st-12st June. This year we’re having another traditional high tea on Sunday 5th June, 2.30pm-5.30pm. Frome Town Youth Band will also be on hand to serenade guests from the band stand!”
The event is open to anyone who volunteers. Please contact Laura on poultonl@frometowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01373 475572 with your name, or the name of your community group or organisation, a contact number or email address, and the number of places you want at a table.
