Six cyclists plan to take on the challenge of cycling 155 miles from Frome to Padstow to raise money for Positive Action on Cancer.
The challenge will take three days and starts on 21st June.
In 2011 members of the team lost their friend, Tony Fordham to cancer. In the months following his death the group of friends wanted to find a way to remember Tony at the same time as raising money for PAC, who supported members of Tony’s family during his illness and after his death.
Mark Date, team leader said, “We are so pleased to be able to remember Tony and give something back to PAC, as we know how supportive they have been to Tony’s family and friends. We are so pleased to have fantastic sponsors and we hope to raise over £1,000 to support the work of PAC.”
The challenge is being supported by Live2Ride, Wishbone Media, Austin’s Civil Engineering, Compugraphics, Recognition Express and the Harlyn Inn in Padstow. To sponsor the team visit www.justgiving. com/frometopadstowpedal.
