Frome Town Band is going from strength to strength.
“Following our Jubilee events, we’ve welcomed several new players to the beginners’ band and bought brand new cornets for some of our intermediate players,” report the band. “Timo, Greta and Emilee have continued playing all the way throughout lockdown and have made great progress. Move over main band players -they’re on their way up!
“We are now preparing to start our first ever summer school. It is open to any age, any ability, 11th-12th August, 10-4pm, £30 for two days. Instruments will be provided; you can sign up on our website www.frometownband.com or email contactfrometownband@gmail.com.
“We are also rehearsing to put on the Snowman in the Merlin Theatre in December and any existing brass player is welcome to join us, in fact more the merrier. Our first rehearsal is on Saturday 13th – Sunday 14th August, 10-4pm at Frome College. You do not need to be a member of Frome Town Band to be a part of this exciting event.
