Frome Window Wanderland is returning to brighten up the dark winter nights on 1st, 2nd and 3rd March from 5.30-9pm. The registration page has now launched with the first flurry of homes signing up for this exciting community event; there is no cost for registering.
Event coordinator Lisa Glass says, “Window Wanderland is an inclusive community event, aimed at bringing everyone together to have fun. We would like to invite all residents of Frome to make displays in their windows or gardens that will then form a magical walking trail, which can be explored by the whole community. We also welcome displays in schools, shops, offices and cafés, as we want to light up Frome.
“Frome first hosted this unique community event in February, 2018 and over 180 windows were lit up all over Frome. In 2019 we hope that Window Wanderland will be even bigger, with 350 windows joining in the event.
“Frome Window Wanderland 2019 is being made possible by Frome Town Council community events funding and was selected through the People’s Budget Vote by local residents.
“Frome really enjoyed making their own Window Wanderland event in February and over 185 homes, schools, shops and offices made a display. Over the weekend lots of visitors came out to see what other people had created and there was a real buzz and neighbourly atmosphere around the streets of Frome. People have already been asking when the next event will be and we have launched the event page for 2019 as we want to encourage even more people to participate.
“It’s easy to put your house on the map if you want to make a display. Our registration page is, www.windowwanderland .com/event/frome-2019, so please spread the word and save the date for this magical event.”
