A FROME runner is thanking her local sponsors, having raised £500 for an animal charity. 
Lesley York completed the Edinburgh Marathon earlier this year, and has now presented her fundraising total to the international charity ‘Animals Asia.’
Lesley explained, “The Cornwall-based charity (co-founder Jill Robinson) aims to rescue captive ‘Moon Bears’ from barbaric cages on farms in China and Vietnam. After their rescue they are placed in sanctuaries where they can live a free life.”
